CINCO MINUTOS e SESSENTA e CINCO ANOS

TWENTY CENTURIES TO THE GROUND

Four centuries and four of Daniel’s verses that we have been reading for 2500 years are, perhaps, still the four most difficult ones of the Scriptures, due to their peculiarities, their importance, and the elements involved. The present and the past.  (Dn 9:24-27)

Taking into account the several points of views found in the texts, basically in every one of them, we have some doubts. The historical element, as we all know, is quite extensive. Furthermore, Jerusalem was not destroyed only once during this period, and still considering the symbolic, there may be possible hidden meanings in this word. The characters and elements presented as kings, beasts, days, and anointed ones are all prone of vague connotations.

All these characters and elements do not allow a safe reduction to events and happenings due to many possibilities and interpretations. In this path even a key word 'fell off' the parchment, for most translations, thus it could be translated as sinless or successor. It took  many thousands of verses for it to happen and it were just here in the middle of these four that it took place, as stated by one of the Catholic translations.

So we can imagine the variances caused by the arbitrary, hasty and mistaken insertion of Christ in this context. The anointed one is, to the vast majority, translated as Messiah, Christ, or Jesus Christ, and who took this path by literature available of by public media such as the internet, so far, seem to be off track.

Unless that days, weeks, and months are not linear, once the hiatus up to now is in about two thousand years. If this criterion has no need to be observed, then surely we have no safe principle or definition to consider. The time is not scaled by us. Wherever we wish to be, we will get there perfectly. Daniel sometimes makes it clear that the events are for the last days.

We still have beasts, kings, princes, and wars. But speaking of wars we do not have  a clear description of any battle between troops and armies and considering (from) the past to the present day, we know, there were many bloody and armed conflicts and some in large scale as the two last Great Wars.

The beasts and animals may not be literal, hence the difficulty in configure precisely the symbol and the period related, once kingdoms are not eternal in this instance, they are human kingdoms, many are gone and it seems that new, short term ones can still emerge.

Kings and kingdoms that were also suggested, as Titus, Nero, Cyrus, Antiochus, Babylon, Rome and Greece, among others, do not allow untouchable, closed application to the details mentioned in the passages.
Princes, kings and anointed ones cannot be considered only symbolically as we must observe reference to heaven and Earth, and angels and archangels who are also present. If these terms are taken literally, so other parallels ones and agreements contribute to the aimed solution.

If we quote names, such as Dario, for example, although we have two Darios, two Nabucodonosors, among others – attempting to a partial deviation can be detected if we use other books and prophets as Revelation, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Zechariah, who are featured in this case. Thus, the mistake gets clearer and subjected to correction. Historical and archaeological studies and research herein are also favorable.

Nevertheless, no denoting quotation in this case refers to posterity, as well as dates, names, or numbers, for example. Except only to Messiah, which could be replaced by Christ, quoted in some translations; in others, a chief or anointed-leader.

It is not possible from the limiting point of view, an approach between the two. Christ, Redeemer, Deliverer; the Anointed-leader, or a Prince Leader, sinless or without successor, perhaps, perhaps... One of them will have to step back. The New Testament only mention twice the allusion to The Sent one but not as a leader or a chief.

Oh, the language, due to vices, virus, limits and sinners. An open door to the purposes of Heavens, to the deeds and whims of children of Earth, to the sons of men and God's sons.

Thus, we can find a lot in the web and we can suggest some links to help with further details.

Now then to the other stones.

Agora ta valendo as melhores aproximações possíveis.

Whatever interpretation is given to these verses of Daniel, that interpretation needs to comply with the criteria of this decree from God as delivered by Gabriel. In reality, Gabriel‘s information is sufficiently loose to permit a range of solutions. Such uncertainties with Daniel illustrate the need for caution with the book. To have one‘s faith depend on one particular interpretation of Daniel is fraught with difficulty.

It is possible to be so preoccupied with numbers as to miss the essential truth which those numbers declare.

This emphasises the great danger of basing one‘s faith on dates and chronologies, and on relying on the interpretation of vague, obscure and problematic passages.

Very good, meu caro estudioso, mas se elas não fossem tão problemáticas não estariam seladas por séculos, não seriam uma boa 'charada' como deveriam. Puzzle. Mas pode não ser tanto assim... Depois será interessante ainda considerar alguns detalhes do texto.
